We are proud to introduce ourselves as the winners of the PDHA19 (Patient Digital Health Academy) award on 18 October 2019 at the Ara Pacis in Rome.
Many guests have given their contribution to this initiative, promoted by the Digital Health Academy in collaboration with 43 Patient Associations and the unconditional support of the MSD Foundation
70 proposals were evaluated, with PatchAI, the virtual assistant that interprets the needs of patients and collects data based on symptoms, taking the third place, followed by BRAVO, a platform of Villa delle Ginestre that uses gaming to create a therapeutic environments able to help young people suffering from #ADHD (Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder).
Last but not least, the first classified of the PDHA2019 were us, with the ‘BrainControl – Mind power for assistive technologies’ project: the alternative augmentative communication device, based on artificial intelligence for human-machine interaction through bio-feedback. The goal is to allow those suffering from diseases such as quadriplegia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis, and muscular dystrophies of various kinds, to overcome motor and communication disabilities.
